The winter storm hitting the US East Coast has shut a major dry bulk port, the US Coast Guard said. A coal terminal supplying the Atlantic Basin also declared force majeure due to the storm.
The USCG Captain of the Port for Hampton Roads closed off the port to inbound and outbound vessel traffic late Wednesday due to significant amounts of ice in navigable waters.
