Berge Bulk has taken delivery of the second of two VLOC newbuildings from China’s Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI).
The 262,000-dwt Berge Makalu (built 2016) was delivered from the Longxue-based shipbuilder at lunchtime on Tuesday 5 January 2016.
The vessel is the second of a series of four VLOCs ordered at GSI in early 2014 for a reported total price of $240m.
The first ship in the series, the 262,000-dwt Berge K2 (built 2015) was delivered to the Singapore-based shipowner in September 2015.
