Interest in ordering baby capesizes is taking off again as a new market emerges and rates start to soar.
Brokers say the baby capesize spot market is one of the hottest in dry bulk, earning rates of more than $12,000 a day — about $4,000 per day more than conventional capesize bulkers.
The ship design was launched more than a decade ago.
