Apeejay Shipping has trimmed its bulker fleet with a demolition sale, brokers say.
It is said to have sent the 40,000-dwt APJ Akhil (built 1989) for disposal in Pakistan.
A price of $265 per ldt was initially placed on the transaction, while GMS reports it was sold in the high $250s after an initial deal failed.
VesselsValue says the disposal leaves the owner with six bulkers in its fleet.
