Greek shipowner Aegean Bulk continues to clear out vintage panamaxes that have been cash cows for the company.
The outfit is reported to have disposed of the 74,000-dwt Afovos (built 2001) to Chinese buyers, according to European shipbrokers.
The Hyundai-built bulker fetched $8.8m to $9m, which is in line with the $8.9m reported for the Sumitomo-built, 73,000-dwt Zagora (built 2001) sold by Goulandris Bros last week.
