Bargain basement dry-bulk rates could lead to further bulker newbuilding delays with a quarter of this year’s global orderbook possibly being held back, Braemar Seascope has claimed.
Tanker newbuildings also face delays while delivery problems in the boxship market could send some owners into the red, the broker revealed.
Alan Marsh-led Braemar did, however, spy positives in expected continued “underperformance” in the global orderbook with the supply-and-demand balance possibly stabilising.
