Greek shipowner Diamantis Diamantides has picked off the first of seven kamsarmax bulkers departing the fleet of bankrupt Toisa as the sale of the 26 vessels accelerated this week.
Offers on four more kamsarmaxes and two tankers were also due in a sales process that has so far had a smaller impact on asset prices than many brokers had expected.
