Finnish ship engine maker Wartsila Corporation has won contracts for three vessels being built in Finland.
It will deliver main and auxiliary engines for the fourth new cruiseferry ordered by Estonia’s Tallink at Aker Finnyards. Delivery is set for summer 2008.
Wartsila said its engines would give the newbuilding a compact, low weight machinery plant with excellent fuel consumption.
The deal is for four 16-cylinder Wartsila 32 main engines and two twin input/single output reduction gears, plus three six-cylinder Wartsila Vasa 32 auxiliary engines.
