Dubai-headquartered Transworld Group of Companies (TGC) has ordered a couple of feederships from China to meet growing demand.
The owner of India’s Shreyas Shipping and Orient Express Lines will spend a combined $80m on the 1,740-teu vessels at Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard (GWS), it said.
“The move is in line with the group’s aim to strengthen its fleet to address the growing demand for sea cargo transportation and fully leverage the booming shipping and maritime industry in the region,” it added.
