The Suez Canal saw a near 26% year-on-year rise in receipts in January this year as traffic through the waterway increases.
Figures from the Egyptian government show receipts rose to $243.9m in January, compared with $240.3m in December last year and $190.8m in January 2003.
According to figures from the Egyptian government, 1,369 vessels used the canal in January, compared with 1,362 in December last year and 1,225 in January 20003.
