US shipbuilder Aker Philadelphia Shipyard (AKPS) has continued to bank profit from its series of 12 tankers it is constructing for partner Aker American Shipping (AKASA).
The Norwegian-controlled yard said net earnings in the first three months to 31 March were up slightly at $1.6m, from $1.5m.
Revenues fell to $58.7m from $66.5m, due to changes in accounting, while costs dropped to $55.9m
