The Norwegian industrial group Aker Kvaerner has seen a profit of NOK 877m ($125.5m) turn into a loss of almost NOK 1bn after its US shipyard had a deficit of NOK 728m.
The group, which is splitting itself into three, said profits had increased in most divisions but the loss at the Philadelphia shipyard and financial items resulted in an overall net deficit of NOK 998m.
