A stunning image of a rainbow taken by OSG tanker master Charles Brown is in a commanding lead in TradeWinds Maritime Photographer of the Year contest.
Captain Brown’s photo take with a waterproof Pentax Optio digital camera has won nearly 73% of the several hundred votes so far cast.
The image was taken from the 47,200-dwt product tanker Overseas Maremar (built 1998) south of Madeira while on a voyage from Houston to Ashkelon, Israel.
