Long term charters have been secured for a fleet of six probos (products/ore/bulk/oil) combination carriers that Dubai based Gulf Navigation is acquiring from Prime Marine Management of Greece.

Although Gulf Navigation is still in the process of taking delivery of the probos it has secured satisfactory time charter cover for the vessels.

Gulf Navigation’s vice chief executive, Capt Ivan Passanha, tells TradeWinds that the vessels will be employed from the time they are delivered but the name of the charterer is confidential for the time being.
