Meals containing wriggling maggots were served up to about 300 workers at Hanjin’s Subic Bay shipyard in the Philippines.



The food supplier of one of Hanjin’s subcontractors provided the free lunches containing rotten pork to staff in the assembly and painting departments on 19 March, the Inquirer newspaper said.



The problem with maggots was first observed in April 2007 and noticed in four incidents after that, workers have claimed.

“The maggots were squirming from the fatty portion of the pork, which was cooked adobo style.
