Two gas carriers, one chartered by Exxon and the other by Maersk, were held by port state control inspectors in the Paris MOU region last month.

The Malta-flag Hamilton, a 4,298-dwt lpg carrier (built 1990), was detained for one day in Rotterdam with 13 deficiencies including lifeboats and oil filtering equipment. The ship is part of the fleet of Petredec of Bermuda, is managed by Anglo-Eastern and was on charter to Exxon at the time.
