US owner Overseas Shipholding Group confirmed today it agreed long term charters for four product carriers being built at STX Shipbuilding by Hong Kong-based Parakou Shipping.

New York-based OSG will take the 51,000-dwt sisterships for 10 years and described the deal with Parakou as a ‘long-term partnership’.



OSG chief exec Morten Arntzen said the ships represented another step in the company’s plan to become a market leader in the product segment.
