The row in the Italian shipowning community has led to a new series of tit-for-tat resignations.
Another nine directors of the Confederation of Italian Shipowners (Confitarma) have resigned in an ongoing power struggle between shipowners in the north and south of Italy.
This time the resignations come from shipowners in Genoa who are mirroring the mass resignations two months ago by their Neapolitan shipowning adversaries.
