Mitsui OSK of Japan is expanding its fleet of long-range double-hull products tankers in an ambitious bid to become the world's biggest operator.
It is building 10 75,000 dwt LR1 tankers and aims at becoming "top operator of oil product tankers meeting customer needs in Asia and around the world". Seven have already been ordered, with a decision on the remaining three to be taken soon.
