The Oslo-listed company said it had entered into a memorandum of agreement with an unnamed seller to buy the single-screw diesel-engined bulk carrier to be built in Japan.
The purchase price of $35.3m is to be made in three instalments: the first of $3.53m within three business days of the agreement being signed, the second of $3.53m on the ship's keel-laying, due in September this year, and the third on delivery, set to take place between February 1 and May 30 next year.
