The only ship in the fleet of the Papachristidis group's Hellespont Shipping has been chartered by Teekay for 18 months at a healthy $28,500 a day, according to market reports.
The Hellespont Tatina, a 105,00-dwt aframax (built 1999), is currently on a five-year relet from Hellespont to Sanko Steamship of Japan at an estimated $23,000. Hellespont itself is chartering the tanker from German KG outfit Salomon at $21,250.
