Frontline has won the bidding for the sale of two VLCC newbuildings from Indonesian state oil company, Pertamina, for a combined price of $184m.
The two 260,000-dwt tankers are due for delivery from Hyundai of South Korea in July and September and were originally ordered by Pertamina last year for $64.5m each.
The deal has been done through Hemen Holdings, the personal vehicle of John Fredriksen, Frontline’s biggest shareholder.
