Euroseas said Monday that it has fixed out an 18-year-old handysize boxship at $16,500 per day.
The Nasdaq-listed containership owner chartered out the 1,930-teu Jonathan P (built 1990) for one year.
The charter begins at the end of the current charter on 15 April. No charterer was named.
The rate beats a recent fixture of the Jonathan P’s sistership. In January, Athens-based Euroseas fixed out the Despina P at $15,250 per day for a year.
