India's Cochin Port (CoPT) plans to construct a new terminal at Puthuvypeen to provide bunkering services to merchant vessels.
The move follows suggestions made by bunkering terminal operators that CoPT should build a multi-user liquid terminal instead of a normal bunkering facility.
According to CoPT boss N Ramachandran: "Most of the bunkering terminal operators specialised only on providing services rather than construct terminals for the purpose."
