A search has been called off for the captain of a Navibulgar bulk carrier who vanished from the ship off the west coast of Africa.
The Bulgarian national, named as Dimitar Kolev, was reported missing from the 22,600-dwt Sakar (built 1995) on Wednesday as the vessel sailed off the coast of Cape Verde Islands, the Sofia News Agency reported.
An extensive search of the vessel was carried out but was called off after 48 hours.
