After 16 years, a Philippines anti-graft court has nullified two graft cases against Alfredo “Bejo” Romualdez, the brother of former first lady Imelda Marcos, involving alleged illegal deals in two state-owned corporations in 1977.
But the court also ordered the Office of the Ombudsman to re-file the case to correct alleged legal defects, the INQ7 website reported.
The court said the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) had no authority to file the case against Romualdez 16 years ago.
