Three Pilbara iron ore ports have been shut for the day as tropical cyclone Heidi approaches Australia’s North West coast.
The ports of Dampier, Cape Lambert and Port Hedland have all been closed as the category 1 cyclone bears down on the coast.
Hedland is being cleared of all vessels and has been closed to inbound traffic as a precaution, a spokesman told local media.
