The LNG-fuelled 56,565-gt Viking Grace (built 2013), often described as one of the most environmentally sustainable cruise ferries afloat, will be operated on marine gasoil (MGO) over the winter due to the high price of LNG.
The dual-fuel ship, which operates in the environmentally sensitive Baltic Sea, was shifted to burning MGO on 22 October when the price of LNG hit a peak after massive rises this autumn.
