Scandlines has again turned to the aviation industry for a candidate to take on the role as its chairman.
Airline veteran Vagn Sorensen will take the helm of the Danish-German ferry operator on 1 January 2020.
Sorensen is no stranger to moving passengers and cargo, albeit in a different environment. He was executive vice president of Scandinavian Airlines from 1994 to 2001, when he left to become CEO of Austrian Airlines, a position he held until stepping down in 2006.
