European ferry operators Stena Line and Viking Line have reported significant carbon cuts achieved in recent years.
Stena Line said it has decreased carbon emissions by 11% per tonne of cargo carried over each nautical mile, as well as a 4% reduction in total ship emissions compared to pre-Covid operations.
Viking Line said it has reduced carbon dioxide emissions from its vessels by nearly a third over the past 15 years.
