Polska Zegluga Baltycka, better known as Polferries, has purchased a ropax vessel it has had on charter from shipbuilder Singapore Technologies Marine (ST Marine).
Both companies have confirmed that a deal that sees the ferry operator buy the 27,700-gt Nova Star (built 2014) outright was concluded earlier this month.
Polferries signed a long-term charter agreement for the ship in September 2018, but as part of the acquisition deal that charter has been terminated.
