Mexican ferry operator Baja Ferries is reported this week to have bought a ro-ro that last traded for Australia’s Searoad Shipping.
Brokers say that Baja Ferries has acquired the 887-lane-metre Searoad (ex-Searoad Mersey, built 1991) for an undisclosed sum.
The International Ships Register shows that ownership of the Keppel-built ship transferred to a Marshall Islands-registered entity called Desiree Marine Co in April, at which time Midocean IOM of Douglas became its technical manager.
