Louis Group of Cyrpus has confirmed rumours in cruise circles that it has sold the 33,900-gt cruiseship Marella Spirit (built 1983).
The company did not identify the buyer in a statement filed with the Cyrpus Stock Exchange last Friday, saying only that the deal would not have any impact on its 2018 financial results.
Well placed scrapping sources say that the Marella Spirit has been sold to cash buyers for onward sale to ship recyclers in India.
