Arab Ship Management (ASM) has scored what appears to be the first secondhand deal involving a large Asian-owned ropax ferry this year.
The Amman-based operator of ropax and livestock vessels has acquired the 24,100-gt ferry Grand Peace (built 1991) from China’s Weihai Jiaodong International Shipping.
Although the deal has not been widely reported in the market, TradeWinds spotted the ferry passing through the Singapore Strait on 12 December bearing the name Daleela.
