Singapore-based river cruise specialist Aqua Expeditions is poised to enter the deepsea expedition cruise market after buying a ship that comes with a colourful history.
The newly announced acquisition, the 1,140-gt Aqua Blu (built 1968) is currently en route to Singapore where it will be refitted to operate as an expedition ship catering to the luxury end of the market.
