Costa Group will invest millions of dollars on turning one of its Costa Cruises vessels into a ship for its AIDA Cruises fleet.
The Michael Thamm-led Carnival Corp subsidiary plans to transform 1,670-berth Costa neoRiviera (built 1999) into AIDAmira for €50m ($54.9m) at Genoa's San Giorgio del Porto shipyard.
Arnold Donald-led Carnival confirmed the planned transformation in May 2018 but did not confirm how much the project would cost.
