P&O Ferries has halted all sailings in the UK, Ireland and France ahead of a “major announcement”.
It sent a message to staff saying a move will be revealed that will secure “the long-term viability” of the company, which is owned by Dubai ports and shipping giant DP World.
“To facilitate this announcement all our vessels have been asked to discharge their passengers and cargo and stand by for further instructions,” P&O said.
