German container line Hapag-Lloyd is ready to push the button on more acquisitions following a year of record profits.
The shipowner said on Thursday it was buying the container liner business of compatriot Deutsche Afrika-Linien (DAL) from John T Essberger.
This followed deals for NileDutch in 2021 and United Arab Shipping Company in 2017.
