The demand for LNG as bunkers will constitute between 25% and 30% of marine fuelling by 2050, according to Xavier Pfeuty, LNG bunkering managing director at Total Marine Fuels Global Solutions.
Speaking to TradeWinds at the IQPC Global LNG Bunkering Summit 2020 in Amsterdam, Pfeuty said: “We definitely think that LNG will be part of the energy mix at this level but a question mark will be the remaining volumes of bunker fuels.”
