Technomar Shipping has scooped up a 15-year-old post-panamax containership from Tufton Oceanic Assets, adding to a buying spree that has seen the Greek company purchase seven units since August last year.
The George Youroukos-led outfit has acquired the 9,800-teu MSC Roma (built 2006), according to market sources in Athens. Exact price details have not transpired, but brokers suspect the vessel changed hands for less than $35m.
