South Korea’s SM Line is taking advantage of the firming secondhand market to sell more post-panamax containerships.
The Seoul-based liner operator has placed five ships from 5,500 teu to 8,500 teu on the market what could be an enbloc sale.
SM Line is said to have received interest from several parties looking to acquire the 8,200-teu SM Charleston (built 2005), as well as the 6,500-teu SM Seattle and SM Hong Kong (both built 2008).
