Dubai-based Simatech Shipping continues to expand its fleet with the purchase of a German-owned boxship.
Brokers report this week that Simatech is buying the 4,132-teu Clivia (built 2004) from Clivia Schiffahrts GmbH & Co, a KG (limited partnership) owner linked to Atlantic Lloyd.
The ship is said to have gone for $8m, a price that is very close to its estimated scrap value.
