John Fredriksen's SFL Corp has bought two neo-panamax containerships, describing the timing of the deal to be right.
At the same time, it has sold 18 ageing feeder vessels of between 1,100 teu and 4,400 teu to Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC).
New York-listed SFL said it has agreed to acquire two modern eco-design 14,000-teu containerships in combination with charters to a leading liner company.
