China’s SAIC Anji Logistics has joined the list of shipping companies opting for LNG-fuelled car carriers in a deal that will see it add the largest vessels to its fleet.
The shipping arm of Chinese automaker SAIC Motor has launched a request for offers to build two dual-fuel, 7,600-ceu pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) newbuildings.
The company, previously known as Anji Automotive Logistics, is seeking to take delivery of the first vessel before March 2024, and the second newbuilding is to be delivered six months later.
