Navios Group's technical manager is looking at exhaust gas scrubbers as a way for its massive fleet of bulkers, tankers and boxships to meet upcoming sulphur emission limits.
The Greek shipowner signed on to study the use of scrubber technology from international petrochemical firm DuPont.
Athens-based Navios ShipManagement says the letter of intent with DuPont will cover economic and technical studies for the use of scrubbers as retrofits and newbuild installations.
