Clarksons Platou Securities is taking a cautious view of AP Moller-Maersk's investment potential after the shipowner posted record results in the third quarter.
Frode Morkedal, managing director of equity research at the Norwegian investment bank, said the Danish giant's stock has risen 56% so far this year in booming markets, and is now fairly priced.
"The question everyone asks is 'when will the market normalise?' Any excess cash flow during 2022 could potentially push the stock higher," the analyst added in a note entitled "Should I Stay Or Should I Go?".
