Evangelos Marinakis-fronted Capital Ship Management has locked one of its newly-purchased neo-panamax vessels into a time charter as Maersk Line leads a charter charge by major lines.

The charter is part of a fixing flurry involving containerships of between 6,000 teu and 10,000 teu. However, the increased activity has yet to translate into higher rates.

Capital’s 9,954-teu Adamastos (built 2010) has been fixed on direct continuation with Maersk Line for three to four months at about $13,875 per day.
