Mitsui OSK Lines says it now expects to post a full-year ordinary profit some 25% higher than expected at ¥120bn ($1.08bn) thanks to the continued strength of the containership market.
The Japanese shipowner issued the revised profit guidance for the 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021 fiscal year in a regulatory filing on Friday.
In January, the Takeshi Hashimoto-led company forecast that its ordinary full-year profit would be around ¥95bn.
