South Korean liner operator HMM plans to review its strategies for newbuildings and is looking at alternative fuels alongside scrubbers.
In a pre-recorded message to the 12th Annual Marine Money London Virtual Ship Finance Forum, president Jae-hoon Bae said the company reinforced its research and development team last year.
“We plan to continuously review future strategies, especially for new vessels,” he said, “such as scrubbers and alternative fuels like LNG, biofuels and ammonia gas.”
