Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) is poised to deploy its two latest newbuildings on the volatile trades between Asia and South America.
A pair of 11,010-teu neo-panamaxes that the South Korean operator acquired last September will be operated on services to the east and west coasts of South America.
From the end of June, the HMM Blessing will run in HMM’s Asia to West Coast South America (WCSA) services, replacing the 10,062-teu Tianjin (built 2010), which has been chartered from a German shipowner.
